The ibw develops a freely accessible online train-the-trainer course, consisting of multiple modules and lections, to raise the awareness for Career Management Skills and the existence of the CMS-framework and, furthermore, to support the practice-oriented development of those skills in vocational education and training, especially apprenticeship training. Based on the webinars, at least one Train the Trainer+ face-to-face seminar will be offered to graduates of the online course, where they get the opportunity to discuss and clarify open questions and exchange more good practice or initiate collaborations.

Therefore, the main target group of the modular online seminars are people who guide and support apprentices in their in-company training, as well as educational and career counsellors, in-company trainers from various companies, teachers and trainers in schools or other practitioners in the field of career orientation and guidance.

The developed online course is modular. Each module includes a practice-oriented lection that is well suited for the development of career management skills. It includes a best practice lesson with the same title, dealing in 10 to a maximum of 20 minutes with the development of specific competence areas and individual competences in the context of the chosen best practice examples.

All competence areas of the framework are also available as 10 to 20-minute lessons and can be viewed at any time in any order. However, these are also assigned to the best practice lessons. In order to complete one module, it is therefore necessary to complete a best practice lesson in combination with all lections that deal with the competence areas of the framework, while the completion of the entire course requires the finalisation of the introduction and the practical-oriented lesson, as well as all the competence areas and the final lesson that includes a conclusion and an outlook.

Target Group: Apprentices & IVET trainers
